Casual American cuisine option Truxton’s is now serving in the South Bay, landing their latest location at the Hillside Village property in Torrance. The easygoing all-day restaurant option also enjoys locations in Santa Monica and Westchester.
For those who may not know, Truxton’s bills itself as an American bistro fit for the whole family. That means the usual fare — burgers, sandwiches, salads, flatbreads, you name it — but with added sections for healthier plates and vegetarian entrees. The restaurant also provides beer, wine, and cocktails.
Thought it doesn’t get much play on a city level (no surprise given the amount of talent in Los Angeles right now), Truxton’s has proved a popular and easily repeatable restaurant that appeals to just about anyone. Much like Southern California barbecue chain Wood Ranch, the hard part for executive chef Greg Schroeppel (Spago, Nighthawk) then is to replicate dishes across each site. Their last time expanding was into Santa Monica in 2013.
The new Truxton’s keeps hours from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
